Universities that do not normally receive financial support from the government and are not run by the government are called Private Universities. Although it is not controlled by the government, it is established by the Government Law, and a grant is approved by the commission. Like other countries of the world, Bangladesh also has Private Universities. The number of which is always more than the government universities in all countries.

01. North South University (NUS)

North South University (NUS) was established in 1992 in Bashundhara, Dhaka 1229, and Bangladesh. It started as the first private university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The government of Bangladesh approved this university under the private University Act 1992. It is a private higher education institution in Bangladesh.
